Back in the day, when Sharper Image was selling those fiber optic lamps (you know, the ones that changed colors), we said to ourselves:

“That’s a really cool lamp, but you know what? This fiber optic thing might be the future of delivering large bandwidth.”

Then we kept flipping the pages and got excited about the remote control pet hovercraft.

Luckily, there is Southern Light, an incredibly smart group of people who have grown to become a leading provider of fiber optic-based communications. They design, construct and operate more than 2,700 route miles of fiber optic networks along the Gulf Coast (from Lafayette, Louisiana to Tallahassee, Florida).

And we’re pleased to announce that we’ve been tapped to provide branding services for them. (It was kind of destiny, we think.) We promise to share the fruits of our collaboration soon. In a related note, we’ve not heard from the hovercraft people.
